Albion Campus Retreat

Albion State Normal School History   |   Miller Hall Renovation

The Mortensen family from Boise, Idaho purchased the Albion Normal School Campus in 2007 from a city auction. Since then they have renovated Miller Hall, the 1901 men's dormitory into a beautiful and modern hotel, while keeping its historic charm. Many hours of labor have also gone into the surrounding grounds so guests can enjoy the many outside activities and expansive green lawns.

The remaining campus buildings have been cleaned of debris, animal dung and asbestos. Their windows and doors have been secured while roofs have been repaired. Several of these buildings are used for the annual Haunted Mansions of Albion event, while others wait patiently for the economy to recover, so they too can be as beautiful as Miller Hall.
